Welcome George C. Marshall High School Class Of 1987!
Greetings, fellow GCM ’87 grads! It’s about that time Statesmen!!! Can you believe that 20 years have passed since we tossed our graduation caps up in the air, kissed the family goodbye and went out into the night to celebrate one of the most momentous occasions of our lives? Well, yes it has, and today, we’re all older, maybe a little grayer, definitely wiser, but we sure hope that party spirit hasn’t left you, cause we are planning a great 20 year celebration in honor of YOU!!! But first, you’ve got to get into the groove of the late ‘80’s, cause that was OUR TIME BABY! Here's a little bit of nostalgia to help rekindle those good times in the "age of indulgence"… (and bad hair!) • Chocolate milkshakes and at “break” • Hall passes, and smoking monitors (how funny is it that they actually let kids smoke in school back then!) • Dr. Coulter, Mrs. Schrack, Mr. Ring, Mr. Yost (to name a few who molded our minds) • Painting those old wooden stadium bleachers with a prominent “87” (And our Class Picture taken on them) • Class colors – Blue and Black (anyone remember those checkerboard t-shirts) • Locker combinations! (we probably had good memories back then) • Jean Jackets with band patches on the back • Aqua Net (for the Jersey hair) • Red bandanas • Europe trips with Mrs. Laurie • Ski Trips with Mr. Ring • Skip Days • Parties in the "Hills" • Sneaking out for lunch • C • Varsity Football going 10-3 AND Beating Madison!! • Varsity Wrestling going 9-1 • Homecoming Floats • Lunch Games • Powder Puff (I think we lost every year, didn’t we?? Haha) • Madonna, Janet, PRINCE, Springsteen, Beastie Boys, Iron Maiden and Bon Jovi • BEACH WEEK in Ocean City • Last but not least - The “beast” (Milwaukee's that is!!!) Anyway, if that’s not enough to “get your ’87 on” take a peek below, then close your eyes, and see if you can visualize yourself in that puffy taffeta prom dress, or with that bangin’ mullet and cuffed jeans, and get your tickets now, cause this is gonna be the reunion of reunions!
